The German Wine Route Marathon is a highlight among the running events in Germany. The varied and unique running route through the wine-growing, holiday and local recreation area of ​​the German Wine Route in the most beautiful wine regions in Germany offers unique views of the sea of ​​vines on the edge of the Haardt. The running route on the German Wine Route is also very demanding in terms of sport with around 500 meters of elevation and is therefore a special challenge.

In 2026, over 3000 runners took part – of which 758 in the marathon, 265 duo teams and 1692 in the half marathon delivered a top performance and reached the finish line in Bockenheim.
